After some planning and gathering of fly fishing gear, I was able to finally get out and try fly fishing for the first time! With the GoPro I talked about last post, I was able to get some footage and document it to share here. Check out the video below!

I didn't show it much--if at all--during the video, but the DeWalt powered battery pack worked extremely well! I brought two 20V 5Ah batteries and didn't even drain half of one after 3 days of charging my phone and GoPro. The only complaint I had was that I needed a longer charging cable so I could record as the GoPro charged. I missed all but one of my catches because of it... but otherwise it was great! I filmed all of the POV shots with the 3D printed hat clip seen below, but I think going forward I'll relieve that neck strain and get a chest mount.

I won't go much further into detail as to not repeat what's already in the video, but I had a great time and learned a lot. This trip has only sparked more motivation to get out and enjoy the outdoors this year while I hopefully hook into many more fish. There will be much more to come so stick around to see the journey!
